Relief Society Activity

at 7 p.m.

We will learn how to make simple changes in our preparation for Sunday that will help us save time so we can focus on what's important.  Topics will include: Simple Menu Ideas, First Aid for your laundry and Sacrament Meeting Strategies for Toddlers to Teens.

Please bring your favorite simple Sunday entrée to share, along with copies of your recipe.

There have been reports of several car break-ins at the Maverik store on 2700 South and 2000 East. The thieves have acted very quickly.  Please do not leave your purse or other valuables in plain sight when going into the store, even for a short period of time.

Home Gardening Course

Valley View Stake Home Gardening Course

Be prepared to grow large crops of delicious fruits and vegetables in your own garden.  In this six week (2 hours a week) course you will learn all the basic principles and practical gardening methods which make home gardening easy, enjoyable and productive:  including varieties, planning, planting, soils, mulching, tilling, control of weeds, insects, and other pests, climate, watering, fertilizing, pruning and fruit tree culture.  You will come away with a "green thumb."

The instructor, Gordon Wells, is the author of Successful Home Gardening, Second Edition, the 156 page textbook.  He has a Masters Degree in Agriculture from the University of California, Davis and has taught home gardening for many years.
