Last week we had a presentation in our evening Relief Society meeting about how to do indexing.

Sister Charlotte gave us these helpful indexing hints:
1. For help with instructions in a field press Field Help.
2. If a Field is blank press Ctrl B.
3.If a Field is unreadable press X.
4. If a Field is the same go to the marked field, right click in that field and then click Ditto Fields below.
5. If you have a question about a city or county click the field, type what you think it says and then click the down button in that field and click Look Up.
6. If you find a letter you can't read, check other words in the document for that letter.
7. If you are unable to finish the batch exit the program and when you return click the batch that is written.
8. If a child is under the age of one enter 0.
