Until We Meet Again. . .

We have recently lost two of our Grandview neighbors on Claybourne St..  We hope those of you who know these families will give them your sincere condolences.

1939 ~ 2012
Peter Wolfgang Koerbler lost his courageous battle of seven years to difficult health conditions on May 7, 2012. He was born to Anton Franz and Stephanie Marie Negrini Koerbler on November 7, 1939, in Vienna, Austria. He lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, for nearly 60 years. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Boulware, on September 1, 1967. Peter fought valiantly to live, never complaining of all he endured. He had a quick wit and loved to tell stories, joke, tease, and make everyone laugh. He was beloved by all who had the honor of knowing him. Peter will be missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn; children, Michael (Emily), and Jennifer Flynn; grandchildren, Kieran, Joshua, and Zander; and sister, Ruth (Charles) Greenmun. Preceded in death by parents and son, Jason. An open house to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at 8054 Big Spring Drive, West Jordan. www.goffmortuary.com



Richard E. Hadfield

Richard E. "Dick" Hadfield, beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend died peacefully at home on May 8, 2012. He was born on Nov. 17, 1937, the only child of William E. "Ted" Hadfield and Lola Ernstsen Hadfield. Dick was a lifelong resident of Salt Lake City and was employed by Hercules/ATK for 39 years. On July 16, 1966 he married Barbara Turnier.
Dick was a Master Gardener and after retiring pursued his love of gardening by raising thousands of plants, sharing them with family and friends.
Dick is survived by his wife Barbara, son Brian (Danyell), daughter Keri and grandchildren Sheridan and Liam.
At his request there will be no funeral. There will be an informal memorial gathering to celebrate Dick's life on Tuesday, May 15 fron 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sugarhouse Garden Center, 1602 E. 2100 So. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Sugarhouse Park in Richard's name.
