Besides all of the regular stuff at Halloween, we have a tradition we have named "Carvination." We get together with my (Nanci's) side of our extended family and we have a party while we carve our pumpkins.
Every year we eat tortilla soup or my Mom's delicious homemade chili (sometimes both) and we snack and have a great time. One year someone brought stickers for pumpkins but instead we decided to wear them and take pictures of each other. 
At the end of the carving, we put all of the pumpkins together, light them and take a picture of them. Afterwards we usually end the night by playing games together.
It's probably not a really big difference from what most people may do, but we make a huge party of ours and we named it! Carvination is great! We look forward to it every year!!-Christensen Family
